Shrines:
Abandoned : Adds 2 points to Dexterity
Cauldrons : Produces random shrine effect
Creepy : Adds 2 points to Strength
Cryptic : Refills your mana, then the Nova spell erupts
around you
Divine : You get 2 full rejuventaion potions and it fills
your health and mana globes
Eerie : Adds 2 points to Magic, minus one to Strength
Eldritch : All inventory potions are changed to rejuvenation
potions
Enchanted : 1 spell goes down 1 level, while all others are up
1 level
Fascinating : Adds 2 points to the Firebolt spell while reducing
your mana by 10 %
Glimmering : Identifies all unknown items in your inventory
Gloomy : All armour gains 2 AC points, while all weapons
lose 1point of max damage
Goat : Random shrine effect
Haunted : Adds the char level plus 2 to the base mana, and
minus the char level to base health.
Hidden : 1 item loses 10 durability points while another
gains 10
Holy : Teleport to a random location on the current level
Imposing : Adds char level plus 2 to the base health, and
minus the char level to base mana.
Magical : Casts mana shield upon player
Mysterious : Raises 1 attribute by 5 points and drops another
by one; at higher levels, it decreases 2 attributes
by one and increases another by 5.
Mystic : Adds XP based on the formula (gold x 10 x dungeon
level / 5), and removes all gold but 1.
Ornate : Adds 2 points to the Holy Bolt spell while
reducing your mana by 10%
Quiet : Adds 2 points to your Vitality
Religious : Restores all weapons to Max durability
Sacred : Adds 2 points to the Charged Bolt spell while
reducing your mana by 10%
Secluded : Reveals the complete map of the current level
Spiritual : Fills any free space in your inventory with gold
(+- 6 pieces each)
Spooky : All players receive full health
Stone : Recharges all the staves you're carrying
Tainted : All other players get 1 point to 3 stats, and
minus 1 to others
Thaumaturgic : Closes and refills all the chests on the current level
Weird : All weapons gain 1 point of max damage

Fountains:

... of blood : Heals 1 hit point for each drink
... of tears : Gives 1 point to a random stat, while taking away 1
piont from another
Murky pool : Casts the infravision spell on you for a short
period of time.
Purifying Spring : Returns one mana point for each drink.

go to the kid with lots of gold and buy the item
if you dont want it reload and you will have a new
item every time.
but for that make sure you BUY BEFORE RELOADING.

go to the witch and save your game.Then load and
keep on repeating than click on the witch and go to
buy item and you with have better items.
Note: VARY hard to do!!

Duplicate Items
---------------
This allows the player to duplicate any item of their
choice. All you need is the item you want to duplicate
and any belt item.

Put the item you want to duplicate on the ground
Walk away from it but keep it on the screen
Click on the item (this should make you walk back
towards it)
At the exact same time you pick it up, click on a
belt item. (You should have picked up the item anyway.)

Open your inventory
-------------------
Put the belt item in an empty space in your inventory.
If done correctly, your belt item should become the
item you wanted to duplicate once in the inventory.

Phantom Duplication Trick
-------------------------
Note: This trick will work with any item you can place
in your belt (potions & scrolls) but the duplicate items
are phantoms and will only exist in your inventory!

To perform this cheat you need to have all 8 slots on
your belt filled. You also need 9 items you can drop,
as well as the item you want to duplicate. Find a
location that has an open space at least 4x4 in size
and stand in the middle of it. Drop 9 items from your
main inventory. This will create a square of 8 items
around you with you in the middle standing on the 9th
item.

Return to your inventory screen and replace one of the
items in your belt with the item you want to duplicate.
When you've done that, highlight the item in your belt
that you want to duplicate, press the X button, then
press the triangle button. You'll be returned to the
game screen and a duplicate of the item you highlighted
on your inventory screen will drop outside the square of
items. Go pick up this item and return to the middle of
the square of dropped items and repeat the process until
you have duplicated as many items as you want.
IMPORTANT: The item you want to duplicate MUST be in your
belt, not your main inventory, for this trick to work.

The items you create using this trick will work just like
the real thing and they will sell for the same price as
the real thing, but if you attempt to drop the duplicate
it will vanish! Also, if you attempt to save your game
with a phantom object in your inventory, you'll get an
error and could possibly lose your previously saved game
as well, so be forewarned.

The best way to take advantage of this cheat is to use
the duplicated items immediately. For example: dup an
Identify scroll to identify an item and save the 100
gold piece fee; dup Strength, Magic, Dexterity,
Vitality or Spectral Elixirs and immediately use them
to boost your stats; dup that *Rare* and expensive scroll
to make some quick cash!

Skip FMV sequence:
------------------
After completing the game online, hold [Alt] and press [Tab] to
skip the ending sequence.

Duplicate items:
----------------
Place an item in your belt. Take the item to be duplicated drop it on the
ground. Walk away, then click on the item again. As you pick the item up,
click the Left Mouse Button on an item in your belt immediately before
taking the item on the ground. If timed correctly, the name of the item
that was duplicated will appear in the box down below. It will have the
same appearance as the item on the belt that was clicked on. Drop the item
on the ground or place it in the back pack and it will re-appear correctly.
However, do not create a second item of the same type and put both on the
ground. If this is done, the duplicate item will be destroyed.

Customize hot key messages:
---------------------------
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of
the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "diablo.ini" file
in the game folder. It contains the hot key messages that can be changed.

Keep more items:
----------------
In the town square by Cain the Elder, drop an item on the ground that you
wish to keep out of your inventory but do not want to get rid of. Then,
immediately save the game. The item will be in the town square until you
pick it back up.

Stronger:
---------
After starting a new or saved game play until your character gets to a
level status that you want. Save the game and click "New game" Click on
your character, then click "OK". When the screen appears again, do not
click on "Load Game". Instead, click on "New game" to start with all your
stats and items intact from the previous game.

Killing groups of monsters:
---------------------------
Get the Fire Wall spell from the Adrea the witch. Make two walls of fire wall,
side by side. Run away in the opposite direction of the monsters. If positioned
correctly, they will run through the fire walls and be killed.

Defeating hordes of monsters:
-----------------------------
If you are facing a horde of monsters that you do not want to crowd around you,
get on the side of a doorway opposite the monsters and stand directly in front
of it. By doing this, only one enemy at a time can attack you and you do not
have to worry about being overrun.

Potion in ring slot:
--------------------
Start a new game. Make sure the water in the well Cain is standing next to is
dirty. Then, go down to the second level and complete the Poisoned Water Supply
quest. Talk to Peppin. He will give you the Ring Of Truth. Save the game, bring
up the menu, and select "New Game". Click on the name of your character and
select "New Game". Again, make sure the water in the well is dirty. If it is
not, keep starting new games until it is. Go down to the second level and
complete the quest again. Peppin will give you another Ring Of Truth. Put both
rings on, save the game, and start another new game. Open your inventory. You
should still be wearing one Ring Of Truth but in the place of the other one
should be a Rare Bottle Of Mana. The bottle has all the statistics of the Ring
Of Truth.
Note : If you take the potion out of the ring slot, you will not be able to
put it back on.

Duplicate large items:
----------------------
Put the item to be duplicated on the ground. Put a mana potion or another item
on your belt. Walk a few steps away, then click on the item on the ground.
Right when you pick it up, click on the item placed on your belt. Drop it
on the ground. If timed correctly, it should turn into the item to be duplicated,
and the original one will be in your inventory. This also works with money. Do
not put both the duplicated item and the original item on the ground,or one will
disappear. Note: This cheat will not work if the inventory window is open.

Tristram's Water Supply:
------------------------
"Reward: Ring of Truth (+10 to Hit Points, Absorbs 1 point damage per hit,
Resist All 10%)
"Tip: Regardless of character class, a good tactic for this quest is moving forward
and then walking back, drawing a few creatures in at a time to avoid fighting too
many monsters simultaneously.

Teliport tip:
-------------
Before you go into a big fight, with a boss, open a teliport back to town so when
you die you dont have to walk all the way back to that boss.
